E9#1 (OLD):Set A, straight wing, stock mirror; ducted carbon; Rays TE37s Very good accel and speed attainment/maintenance past 330; universal rule of better handling at lower HP+gear applies, but TE37s still make it pretty heavy.E9#1 (UPDATED): Set A, type wing, aero mirror; regular ducted; Yokohama TCII Accel's pretty good up to 5th gear, but struggles with high-level speed attainment past 318, clawing hard for 332; fair grip/slide, but type wing makes a rough entry on a curve/turn more prone to overcorrection. E9 #2: Set A, straight wing, aero mirror; ducted carbon; Rays 77NTLs or Yokohama T5s Decent accel, good high-level speed attainment up to 325; straight wing gives very good stability, but 77NTLs has better slide while T5s has better grip. QUOTE (Sailor Enlil @ 9 hours, 39 minutes ago) | Not kidding this time. Thanks to the Pajero's POV, I nearly lost on a few stages in Story Mode in the first loop. From experience, the 2nd loop of MT4 is at least 50% harder than the first. I should know - I botched TWO LOOPS of Story Mode on my RK Coupe before I got the Red Tach. |
Use 1st person at the end, usually on straights so you just need to avoid traffic.
And its not really *that* much harder... Or my supras story would be ridiculous =p

Swapped out parts for my Evo9. I found early on that Aero Set A and straight wing worked wonders, but couldn't quite figure out bonnet/wheel combinations. Listed are the wheels tested and my opinion on them:
-Rays TE37 with ducted carbon: The whole setup was a little slower than normal coming off the line, but held a straight pretty well. Only real problem were sharp turns at low speed were at low-speed -- the TE37s weight combined with the slower acceleration to create a problem that could be magnified if the E9 were forced to a zero-stall. IMHO: I found the whole setup best for straight courses and poor for turn-heavy courses; simply, the setup becomes ever-less effective the more turns the course has.
-Rays 77NTL w/ ducted carbon: quite responsive slip, slide recovery is a little less. Better than with regular carbon. Regular ducted could've improved this some more. IMHO: Well-rounded, but better-suited for courses with a focus on either wide high-speed sections or sharp low-speed turns.
-Yokohama T6 w/ ducted carbon: Raced it against my friend on C1/NBL, found it to handle superbly; stops on a dime, even into/from a turn. However, found it to appear Power-deficient when racing on NBL (Kiba)>Wangan -- started to lose speed on the way up outta the tunnel. IMHO: Best for turn-heavy courses, extremely poor for stretch courses.
-Rays SUPERIOR with ducted carbon: Better than the T6. Basically the T6 with the speed-maintenance deficiency. IMHO: Saw it. Tried it. Loved it. Kept it.
