Then there's the problem with the MT4 AI players. They seem more intelligent compared to their predecessors form 3/3DX/3DX+. They love to step on the brakes when you're right behind them.......and of course, they push more aggressively against your vehicle Hence the reason why I feel that the story mode of MT4 is (at minimum) *slightly harder* than 3/3DX/3DX+ There's even a joke that someone told me before In those three previous versions, you could drive with one hand, drive while talking on the phone, drive while eating and you can win against the AI. Heck, you could even move the steering wheel with one finger and you would still win. But now in MT4, you gotta concentrate even more. In short, lesser room for mistakes.

QUOTE (simonsiu2013 @ 1 hour, 43 minutes ago) | it can be something in racing theories, learn to plan passing the next car while you are passing the current one, in essence, learn to think ahead imo...
Of coz, it is always for saying than doing
but you may actually be able to get used to it... |
How about blind corners? i.e. you don't see anything until right when you make the turn. Even back in MT3 I felt like tearing my hair out when I go through a Red corner then suddenly I come face to face with not one, not two, but THREE TRUCKS in triangle formation! Something like that cost me a stage in Story Mode back in MT3 (specifically, chapter 80 in DX!), earning me the "First Black Mark" title on the very final chapter (happened to my JZA70; fortunately it was a 2nd loop done for the purpose of just leveling up and I already finished the firs loop unshaded). I understand what you mean here, yeah, especially difficult for HiAce and Pajero (maybe in the 3rd POV) while you see more one, two or three cars occupying each lane.....and just to say, all of a sudden by the way, try your utmost and try to stay focused la.... I have one or two occasions like yours, nearly lost one stage in DX+ for my R33, by then I saw 3 trucks, a pair of twins in the right and middle lanes, the final one was placed , just right after I passed the twins.... I could barely squeeze my R33 through by braking a little (I was passing a left 90 corner in C1, before I turn sharp right and maintained my car after I returned to the straight...... I am personally fine with my Pajero in both POVs, i did have some deadly moments in blind corners like yours, and at one time I played the Ghost Battle in Yaesu....in a middle left corner towards the Shiodome Ramp, I saw two trucks in both lanes lol...just I was able to pass them I think you could eventually be getting used to the traffic pattern, of coz, I was able to dodge the traffic is all becoz I was too lucky enough to do so....nonetheless, experience sometimes will pay you off....As what I said above, it is always easier to say than you finally be able to do it.......... anyway enjoy your game then ....I have taken a look in some of your battles, you are a better player than me, and I have learnt a lot from you guys too [ Post merged on Jul 11 2013, 06:13 AM ] QUOTE (ahheng @ 8 hours, 29 minutes ago) | True remember that time in mt2 i tuning my fd to sss,i have fail a few times in every loop and by the time i reach sss i can reach it without failing any stage. With this result i complete my devilz to sss also and tune other cars to 820.that makes almost everyone playing at cs know my car name.some call me crazy story player |
I think what we need is to stay focused while making decision... for example in Ghost Battles, I always didn't see anything before my car passing the junction to C1 out and Shiodome after running mostly in the Yokohane, and suddenly, you could just see the traffic were pushed to your lane, before you could see which way you are heading to, and how many cars were there in front of you, I did failed a few times, but after that I am able to remain my line by squeezing through traffic and sometimes, to do what I needed to do in the very last moment (of coz in some occasions would be like, ended up crashing (by heavily crashed in the entrance left turn to C1 out)
