Not just the jza80, look up ta scoreboard, on c1 the hiace is faster than gto... What??? A van is actually faster!?!?!

You sure about this? A quick glance on the TA scoreboard (granted it does not update on the fly - server traffic etc), GTO is faster than Hiace (not that much faster but it is faster if you want to count raw milliseconds). I agree with vash944, probably more people out there using Hiace seriously than they use GTO's.

I refuse to believe GTO is that pathetic as a runner as you claim. I doubt Namco would want to make it suck that bad, this is a 1990's "high-power era" GT in the league of R34/Supra vs. your everyday A-to-B people carrier.

With a Hiace I can easily feel a certain lack of power at high gear; GTO runs steady. None of that high-RPM "kick" of an RB26 but the torque is there.

This, has me blown off myself
GTO has been around in max tune for about 10years since version 1, it has its chances and yet it does not get picked up to be main on as much as the "in league" supra and r34 which maybe you can tell me why if it is indeed in league

Its not pathetic and I have not claim it, I said it is a battle car and its downside is its crap cornering

sad fact: still GTO isn't with the JZA80 and BNR34

then again GTO should've been like chevy's Z06 tho stable and decent accel on straights but lousy on corners rolleyes.gif

Sorry for Necroing this, but......

Does anyone else here other than Nico and Enlil drive a Starion? I want to know how it feels before I create one from a discard.

Sir Nicotam might give you an extensive answer regarding Starion, tried FT'ing one and still can't feel the magic nonetheless it might fall into a smaller JZA70, my plan to that is enough to beat an experienced Evo 8/9 users with this car but my plan kinda fizzled tho pinch2.gif

its a great car.........................but u wont like it (i think)

this has nothing to do with performance, its just the car itself or something like that

i have a CTR, i use it more then my starion & my CTR performs worst then my starion

nothing against the car itself, i just cant explain it (this maybe just me not sure about others)

Hi guys! Just wanted to ask if the Evo3 is by far the most-balanced 5-speed Lan-Evo (in terms of speed/accel/handling) in the game (MT4)? Heard it got watered-down throughout the arcade series. Sorry for the silly question.. I'm just a sucker for them old evo's. Lol Thanks! happy.gif

Its lighter than the 5/6, balance wise they're all pretty good, 5/6 maybe heavier and *slightly* more sluggish

Once upon a time the e3 was the undisputed acceleration monster of mt. Still pretty good, does tend to be pushed around slightly easier in battle though....

Nimblest of the evos sorta makes up for that.

They're all good cars mind, depends on your playstyle/personal preference could work either way

just roll with the evo3, since i miss the transfer date for international.server i REALLY REGRET NOT HAVING A EVO3

i play in china most & i have about 40 cars, besides the gto svx supra & aristo which is all in 1 pass, i use.my evo3 (on my other pass) to play against chinese.that.stabs me while i do.the same.to.them

ppl say its.light, pshhh light my ass, i bloodly blocked 2 chinese guys.trying.to.stab me & i counter attack.that by stabing them back

all i.can.say is that cream.is.light but too much cream will become heavy.(ok.this.post sort of makes no.sense.now)

To be honest, i have had more seat time on the Evo3 (since I FT'd it) than my FD (my first car). Since i started driving an FR layout car, migrating to the Evo3 platform wasn't that hard for me-- prolly 'coz i can pretty much drive it the same way; albeit it being nimble enough and it being just a tad slower on the corners compared to the FD. If the course had more straights than corners, I'd use my Evo; otherwise, the FD. I just made the R33 out of curiosity of how its top end power is and I wasn't disappointed either. Nonetheless, I still drive all 3 of them... depending on how i intend to go about playing on that particular time. But I agree that Evo3 is a very capable car!

How's the GTO compared to say,a R32 or FD?Is it so boat-ish like the Corvette and Camaro?Does it have the R32 boost?

Its already stated here that the GTO has bad cornering. Its much like the ZR1 (though I handle the ZR1 well for some reason)

I agree with you, my friend drives a GTO and it handles poorly.

He has never gone close to beating me on Hakone but I reckon it may have some potential in Osaka and Nagoya.

Personally I don't like the GTO...

GTO, very very bad handling, boost in battles is only on average, despite being a straight road monster acceleration is only on average like an underpowered R34

Still if you are those that loves ramming the shit out of others then this car is for you, that length to poke rear of others out combined with that weight is awesome smile.gif

On a side note, aero c of GTO is still the longest

Hello everyone..

After reading reviews about the evo x being sluggish i still decided to make an evo x.
my question is what is the best setup for my evo x? im focusing more on the handling.
and whats the best rims to use for the evo x.

Thank you so much

Maybe because they want to be unique? I don't see any other GTOs locally, that's for sure.

Ironically though, the car that I use the most with bad handling is the Corvette ZR1.

So you're saying, the morale of the story is. If you're not a good player but you got a huge ass, pick the GTO because it has a huge ass as well?
