So, Geo u from Syd as well? Where u play usually? Yeah, you might wanna try those ENKEI rims as they give you better grip for the "very-slidy" Z33.. I really don't wanna use that car again after switching from ENKEI to RAYS.. Should get my ENKEIS back !!! |
i play at hornsby TZ. cant go city cos its WAYY too far from where i live. i reckon the enkeis will help. im currently using the rs+ms and they sorta help but need more grip.

Hornsby.. I think that is where roxas3 usually plays in..
Hmm.. I think that the grippiest rims for ENKEI is the WRC TARMAC, which is the white, 5-spoke one.
Try the RPF-1, then the WRC TARMAC. See which ones would you prefer. I've tried enkeis in 3 cars already, and I'm currently using RPF-1 for my Z33 n R34, and the WRC TARMAC for my R33. Might wanna switch from the TARMAC to the RPF-1 later. Coz I haven't finished dressing-up my R33. |
lol i heard he switched to GSTZ cos the machines are really dodgy at hornsby. next time i go, ill change my rims over give it a try on hakone and c1. what i really need at the moment is A LOT OF GRIP. and maybe a hiace This post has been edited by Geo☆☆ on Apr 13 2008, 02:09 AM

@Dare - Yer I heard, that is why I want to take up the challenge. Im sorry if Im goin abit off topic, but do you think the z33 or e8 to b a good next car? I am wantin to try out the z33 cos I already got a e9. Back on topic.... So is it like: s30z - bad top speed - moderate acceleration - good handling z33 - good top speed - moderate acceleration - bad handling Is that how it goes? LOL sorry for being a pain. I am just wonderin, as the z33 mayb my next car.

Z33 > Z30All courses, 'cept C1 & Hakone. It depends on how you dress-up your car. Because as we all know, the outcome depends on the drivers skill. Here are the goods and bads, based on my experience with my oldschool Z30: The goods:- Above average accel - Close gearing - Eats corners well - It's small size = squeeze through traffic easily The bads:- Doesn't have the HP (ex. Wangan/Yokohane straights) - Slight HP loss during corners - Gets bumped easily in Versus battles - Unable to maintain its top speed Again, this is based on my experience. Hope this answers your questions. MagixMan

lol if you want a decent challenge and pwn on straights, get the z33. if you want a n00b-friendly car, as a lot of people might say, get the e8. i got an e8 from a discard, its a easy car to use, but not much of a challenge.

QUOTE (Death_B2KSJ @ Today at 9:37 AM) | nah i want the challenge from the z33. I was wonderin if u could comment on my setup I have planned for this car.
Im thinkin about addicting weight to the car, to make it less slippery.
-aero kit c -frp hood with duct (ducted hood non carbon) -enkei rims (rpf-1s) -wings from aero kit c -aero mirrors -any sticker -any neon |
yeh might as well if you have money to blow. and since when did stickers and neon matter? and use the GT3d wing. This post has been edited by Geo☆☆ on Apr 13 2008, 08:02 PM

@Death_B2KSJ
That was the same with my planned setup.. I was using the Carbon-Fiber hood (Ducted) though, but looking at roxas3's settings, I decided to take off the Carbon-Fiber hood, and replace it with the FRP Bonnet.. The FRP bonnet, due to increased weight compared to the Carbon-Fiber, should be able to add some downforce to the front of the car, so that the car have better driveability.
3D GT-wing, as Geo's suggestion, helps your car add some rear downforce, so that better grips could be gained on both front (from the FRP Bonnet), and the rear wheel.

QUOTE (Death_B2KSJ @ Today at 4:56 PM) | o i get it. So instead of having the front swing everywhere or the back swing everywhere. Both the downward force of the frp bonnet and 3D wing will stabilize the car more. But wont it like decrease its top speed and acceleration? |
very very slightly, its pointless not to anyway, because you need the extra downforce and its more effective than the other wings bodykit, wing by car, etc.

QUOTE (PDK @ Today at 7:17 PM) | It will NOT decrease top speed. NOTHING in this game will decrease your top speed. Aero kits and wings will however slow you in achieving top speed |
yeh top speed wouldnt actually decrease. only acceleration.

QUOTE (Death_B2KSJ @ Today at 7:47 PM) | Sorry I have to disagree on that. My current s30z right now has a lower top speed than normal. And it's cause it has too much downward force on it. *see my signature for specs* The top for a s30z is 346km/h as said by here.
But my car only can go up to 336km/h. I tried it on the straight wangan line with 820HP. So I am convinced, cause I saw it first hand that you can decrease your horsepower with too much downward force. |
you know, they test was based in NBLcw where the downhil can lead to extremely high speeds. wangan just provides straights. go try again, and youll see.
by what i remember, my z has hit, max 340-somethinglow.

Its your lines, and you... not the car..
have YOU ever put your car up to the top speed as stated?
if not, you cant really say you're slower...
especially by that much. theres no way you're gonna loose out on that much speed.
