Z33 driver here.

What's the most viable dress up combo for hakone? I find myself wall tapping often. I'm trying to net the crown against an E8/9 i think.

Here's my setup at the moment:
Aero A
Yokohama RGII (I think, I cant remember)
straight wing
aero mirrors
FRP hood
No underglow

I'm on 3DX+ btw. smile.gif

That's my setup most of the time. But i find stock aero a little better at maneuvering in tighter courses.. Its not as good looking as the Aero A with the GT wing or 3D wing but its kinda better overall i suppose. I'm about to change mine back to stock aero on my next trip back to TZ. I'll also put a 3D or GT wing as well on the stock aero to not make the car look too plain.

But again... *setups don't do much to the car performance* it mainly changes the width of the car and length as well. It's kinda psychological in a sense. It all boils down to how the driver reacts to the car's motion when racing. I'd suggest learning more how much counter-steering you do in hakone. So practice is still the best solution to your problem. happy.gif

I've been driving the Z33 since forever and all I can say is that its not the car that'll win you many races cause it is "in reality in the game" just plain troublesome to drive. Accel is probably the only thing really good about the car.

Yeah I guess you're right. Although compared to having stock aero or aero A, I found that i wall tap less on aero A (might really be psychological but if it gets the job done better then yeah) so I'll probably stick to that one instead and just try to become better at counter-steering. You reckon it's better to practice this on TA or on the crown battle itself? smile.gif

Yeah everything is kinda psychological haha (i think)... I drive horribly with the aero c though.. Cause the car gets a little bit longer in the front plus slightly wider too so adjustments need to be made. Yeah practice the counter-steering and also focus on how much the car slides than the usual good cars, itll help you on counter-steering and timing smile.gif to be honest you can just practice with computer ghosts in ghost battle. At least youre getting new dressup parts as well as practicing your lines with traffic smile.gif thats how i approached it... Killing two birds with one stone. And i usually watch a lot of TA videos on different maps sp that i can picture out what the good lines to take.

Yeah, I guess practice is the only way to go (the crown holder is a z31 now btw). Problem with me is I usually depend on muscle memory so it's kinda hard getting to go through new lines, new shifting up/down points and new braking strategies lol. I guess that's the part of learning aye. Thanks for the advice man!

No problem. Just ask on this thread if you've got some more questions. I'm not the only Z33 driver here so other people can also help you out. happy.gif

Just hit 4,900 coins today. Roughly about 160+ ghost wins to go and i'll be hitting the 3,500 win mark and a leveling up my Z33 to SS1!

Just a little more. Problem is i want to reach SSS thru 5k stars, sadly no one plays 3DX+ much anymore. Its either GUESTS or GUESTS all the time... Kinda boring to do and accomplish SSS without legit good battles laugh.gif

Good job going that far. For me I don't need to outrun everything to S9...
So i just transfered and remained A- rank.

If we both had one car, we would'a both been SSS already.

I would've been an SSS Z32 lol....

he probably started during 3DX days....

and man I started since WMMT1 and no SSS rank in any of my cars =P

probably I could jack it up till SS-rank in either my z34 if updated to WMMT4 or my GT-R, as for my z33 i'll just leave it for the moment when WMMT4 goes down a little bit laugh.gif

@ N.Mac
you better picture it first on a hi-resolution digicam and frame that SS1 WMMT3DX+ card with your last updated WMMTDX card on your z33 laugh2.gif

I want to ask right now. My favorite Aero for the 370Z is the Aero E. (All those Carbon! ohmy.gif) And I wonder, do you think Aero E for my 370Z will dampen how the car handles? Also, what is the recommended Aero I should pick for my 370Z? (If I don't want the Stock Aero, that is. biggrin.gif)

Dressup is for looks not for performance. That is my opinion. I've driven my car for 121,000 km already in this game and I've practically tried every combination of wings and aero kits and it didn't make my car any faster or slower. The only thing that differs in some occasions is the length and width of the car which makes it faster to bump to walls.

What I mean here is that when I use Aero E on my 370Z, does that affect the vehicle's STEERING and HANDLING when drive through technical corners? (Not the speed and acceleration of the car.)

There really is no definite answer to it. Its all opinion based. I do "sometimes" feel a difference in handling but most of the time no. Probably psychological. Its best you answer the question yourself by driving your car in different aero sets. Its WMMT4 anyway, it aint hard to change parts now. You can change your aero kits each game with the terminal happy.gif
