QUOTE (Sailor Enlil @ Today at 6:59 AM) | (no real Corolla has ever had an AWD layout - it was FR up to the 90's after which it became FF; even the Corolla WRC used in Rallying is FWD). In fact the only AWD car Toyota has ever built was the Celica up to 1999, after which it too became purely FWD. |
The Corolla wagon had an 4WD option since the 80's, so did a few sedans and diesel models. I honestly can't beleive, you built one yourself and played through the whole game, how the hell can you no know its drivetrain? At least with me I got mine for free and transfered it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_CorollaAE84 Wagon - 4WD (USA) AE94 Sedan - 4WD (JPN) AE95 Wagon - 4WD (JPN/USA) AE104 Sedan - 4WD (JPN) E-114 Sedan - 4WD (JPN) E-115 Wagon - 4WD (JPN) NZE120 Sedan - 4WD (JPN) Corolla Matrix XR Wagon - 4WD (USA/JPN) Seriously, if you don't want to fail as hard as you did right now, then do some serious research. Ok so there were 4WD Corollas I'll give you that. Still, what specific model of Corolla is in WMMT3? At least by its tail lights I can't find a match from the known 4WD sedans (or perhaps because I changed it to Aero Set C), the last of which was listed in the Wiki site among the 90's models.
By my own experience, the Corolla I have in WMMT3 doesn't seem to handle like a 4WD at all. Half my cars are 4WD - GTO, Evo8, GDBC, R34, Mazda6, and all those but the R34 are very grippy like they drive on rails; my Supra RZ and R34 slide a lot, with the S30Z, Z33, and Corolla somewhere in between (in fact the Corolla felt very much like the real Corolla I used to drive in real life - a 1993 FWD sedan - when I drove it hard enough).

Think about it, the Corolla is a small, underpowered, gas saving econobox champ with a simple 4WD. Its not made to race so why would it grip the road better than a rally bred Evo/SIi or hit 347km's easily like the beasts that are the GTO and GT-R's, just think about it...
When you look at what is being pushed beyond its absolute limits, you will understand why its so hard to get this car to do what is so much easier for every other car.

Actually it's more like this:
With cars like the Supra and S30 (RWD), if I turn suddenly into a corner and slide, the car swings around and its butt hits the outside wall, or its nose clips the inner wall (i.e. like oversteer; happened to one RWD car I drove for real, at least I didn't collide with anything then fortunately); cars like the R34 (4WD) tends to plow sideways into the outside wall if I take the curve too fast (neutral steer); the Corolla on the other had acts more like it wants to plow into the outside wall nose first if I go too fast, like the real Corolla I drove (which was FWD, and such cars are known to understeer).
