but 6 gears???

what's the lowest gear you'd go in a 6 gear on hakone?
i feel terrible dropping it to third sometimes.

Depends which direction. I *NEVER* go into 3rd gear for a 6 gear car.

For IB, I only go into 4th 3 times. Which is the 3 red left turns.

For OB, I only go into 4th for the snake part in the beginning of CP2, and the last red turn.

same here
for a 6 gear car, i play it exactly like a 5 gear car but in 6 gear car im always 1 gear higher than i would be in the 5 gear car
so where i shift and everything is all the same.. except the start because in 6 gear u got 1 extra gear to shift up to
but just say 2nd red turn in a 6 gear car you would goto 4th gear, but in 5 gear you would goto 3rd
so its like...always 1 gear lower in 5 gear car...if it makes sense?

tried a official machine s15 for hak ib, suprisingly really good, very light and felt slidey which is good. 2'30'4xx with a few crashes. and 1 big crash on one of the deadly s turns.

aiming for 28 on an mr2 tmr! then will be one of the fastest where i am.

btw. the S before the first cp1, the yellow s. do you let go of the gas? do you touch brake a little? or isit half throttle?

im getting fast times by braking a little there. like a little tap just to stay between the walls.

your not supposed to off gas or anything
if your lines right you can full throttle both
lol but i do tap the gas off on the 2nd one.. im not confident enough to full throttle them both yet

Z33 is nice to drive in Hakone. Unlike the long R34, its' nose always touches the wall whenever i corner =_=". But I think, pros still be able to get 2'29 or faster using R34. Only a matter of "used to it" or "not used to it".

Anyway, 2'28"236 CPs, done by .EVE. - Mitsubishi LANCER EVOLUTION VIII MR GSR [CT9A]
1. 0'34'884
2. 0'38"142
3. 0'38"310
4. 0'38"899
Maximum Speed : 247km/h

The problem comes when people catch on that you can destroy them on Hakone, just like my experience in MV. They will start outpicking courses to avoid Hakone in battle laugh.gif
