outbound is BY FAR easier than inbound

it's more technical than inbound which demands more skill

at inbound it's so damn easy to keep up ==a

I find outbound easier, because on the red turns... i can keep my cornering speed higher than when i do it on outbound!

@Jerada:

here's a quick but HELPFUL(I hope) tip.

-on hakone, you are free to use 760/780. For TA, go 760.
-Hakone is NOT UPHILL OR DOWNHILL. It's only FORWARD OR REVERSE. OUTBOUND-> FORWARD, INBOUND->REVERSE(I think some will disagree, but the number of up and downhill sections are the same).
-Inbound is easier, IMHO.

but I would suggest that you practice on OUTBOUND. It WILL HELP YOU A LOT.

If you're on mt3 and dx, i think eagle, the red e9 with aero c is always outbound... Well on mt3 it is at least... So keep playing against that ghost...

at inbound EVERYONE can keep up because it's too easy.

because it's easy i find it hard to win cause of the road block

at outbound i smoke'em by at least 1000 m, they wont have time for a roadblock.
even if they do, the number 2 guy is so far back that it's still winnable

that's why i found outbound easier to win battle

btw my inbound 4 way win ratio: 0% ==

That helps a lot XD

I guess I could pick 760 huh XD
And I guess I agree more on the forward and reverse thing. Since I noticed there is no pure downhill nor uphill part of Hakone o_o
I guess I play too much outbound XD

@obby
I always battle either eagle, zzzzz, or yuki here XD the best battle I had was with rei I got around 600 or so meters as far as I remember XD

I find outbound more uphill than downhill!

Lets watch Team Dream Hakone TA video to see... (random pic)

YOUTUBE ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxF1VJkf8Xo )

Ok.. course specific layout -

Outbound

From:

00:43 - 00:51 -- downhill
00:52 - 00:57 -- uphill
00:57 - 01:00 -- slightly downhill into the red turn
01:00 - 01:02 -- straight
01:02 - 01:11 -- downhill
01:11 - 01:13 -- uphill
01:13 - 01:16 -- downhill
01:16 - 01:45 -- uphill
01:46 - 01:56 -- downhill
01:56 - 01:57 -- straight
01:57 - 02:13 -- downhill
02:13 - 02:14 -- straight
02:14 - 02:23 -- downhill
02:24 - 02:33 -- uphill
02:33 - 02:35 -- downhill into the red turn
02:36 - 02:54/5 -- uphill
02:55 - 02:56 -- straight
02:57 - 03:59 -- downhill
03:00 - 03:07 -- straight

Inbound

03:07 - 03:10 -- uphill
03:10 - 03:40 -- downhill
03:41 - 04:08 -- uphill
04:08 - 04:10 -- straight
04:10 - 04:18 -- uphill
04:18 - 04:20 -- straight
04:20 - 04:49 -- downhill
04:49 - 04:54 -- uphill
04:54 - 04:55 -- downhill

Well, might be boring, but very factual!

Btw, does anyone know the cp times for the world record of mt3? I'm kinda getting very high cp3 times, cp1 and 2 = 42"xxx
