QUOTE (marbleberry @ Today at 12:49 AM)
Hakone OB is the reverse track of Hakone IB. =_=" so that, how to do those 2 courses are quite similar.

2'43"xxx WAS my time when I first played MT and found out that Hakone was a challenging course to play.. =_="

Now I'm stuck at 2'29.. And I hit that 2'29s only once.. Never hit that zone again..

On OB, I'm stuck at 2'32..

yeah, but running them, they're totally different...

i still cant get into the 29's...

hmm.
have to go get my times next time i'm out.

Not too different - but IMO, OB seems a bit more difficult than IB, coz I started learning Hakone on IB. So that when you play OB, it's a bit confusing coz u found some of the turns that you tackle easily on IB is harder on OB...

Actually, u might wanna try using another "smaller" car for TAing in Hakone...
I tried SUPRA already.. And I feel that the car's body is a bit too wide..
But that's only my opinion, coz I usually drive EVO.. So I don't really know how to handle a SUPRA.

Mastering the SUPRA on Hakone should be cool..
Not much ppl attacking Hakone with a Supra..
Actually, just tried the SUPRA once in Inbound, and the result was.. 2'32"4xx, if I'm not mistaken..

I'm just not used to a SUPRA.. >,<

I think coz u've played with the SUPRA for quite a long time.. U should be able to do it ^o^ Go Go Dare !! LoL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, might wanna get some more tips on Hakone OB. Still no good at that course..

wow how can u do 2'32"xxx on Hakone with a supra! I cant even do 2'40"xxx on my s30z. I guess I need more lining practice. But wow that is quite good marbleberry. I wish I can do 2'32"xxx on Hakone. Then I can beat the top hakone time, his time is only 2'36"xxx. laugh.gif

Here in Sydney (Timezone @ George St, to be specific..)

Hakone OB : 2'28"xxx by pillz
Hakone IB : 2'27"7xx (if i'm correct..) by MARK! -> DoriKid in this forum, if I'm not mistaken..

My friend EVE got 2'27"9xx with an EVOLUTION VIII on Inbound..
and his OB time was 2'29"775 with an FD..

My time using S30 was 2'30"0xx.. Which should be 2'29, but I tapped the wall on the last turn, so that I couldn't get 2'29.. and I was like OMGWTF?

@Dare

LOL yeaaa I really wanna go into 29s for IB and 30s for OB >,<
that 29 before was just pure luck man.. I can't even get 29s again now man.. >,<

I remember when i got the MR2... first time i ran it i got 31' i on IB if i'm nt mistaken...

but hated the feeling... feels so weird after driving a supra to go to the MR2...

i dont wanna TA it too much, for fear of loosing feel for my supra...

lol

gotta check up on my times though.. hvent ta'ed hakone in ages... when i wanted to practice it i'd just go battle ghosts... same difference. lol

@Dare

Yeah. But in ghost battle u can't really tell which part of the course that you're bad in.. In TAs, they could tell u by checkpoints.. >,<

@furanz

BCNR33 is not too bad in Hakone. Tried TAing OB using that car, achieved 2'33"xxx in OB.. Which is.. somewhat.. SLOW... =_="

It's not really extreme IMO, just.. The car is HUGE.. So that it's quite hard to drive.
R33s got almost the same feeling with the R34. But it's just a bit slimmer than the R34, but not really much difference.

Anyways, if you're still struggling with the course, like before, I recommend you the R32 first, then moving on to the "harder" cars. But, starting off with a "harder" car is not a bad idea as well, coz when you use the "easier" car, you won't get any troubles with that.

I started practicing Hakone IB using my R34, in where I got 2'43"xxx for my first try.

@Death_B2KSJ

Come on man, there are heaps of players that is better than me. You might wanna ask their tips for playing Hakone.. I'm still learning how to be faster on Hakone though. Still can't beat eve, mark and pillz here in sydney >,<

@marbleberry - thanks, that is what I do on Hakone as well. Sometimes 780, if I know my car can handle it. I wonder if you can get a really grippy car if you can try Hakone on 800HP though.

@pillz - you too! XD yer Im also stuck @ home doin assignments and work. But Im in uni, so I dun hav to go if I dun want to. Also wen I am doin my work, I procrastinate on here. XD

@Death_B2KSJ

Tried my R34 on OB using 800hp.. I wonder how pillz could get good times using 800hp..

Anyways, if you're running IB, these checkpoints might help you to know which part of the course that you should improve.

That car was using these settings when getting this time :
- Stock Aero
- Carbon-Fiber Hood (Original)
- Stock Wing
- Watanabe EightSpoke Rims
- Stock Mirrors

Wah. So pro.. You said that all indo guys suck @ Hakone.. U'r so slow urself.. >,< can't believe that there is someone like this =_="

@pillz

LAWL.. GC8 was such a monster on Hakone.. Tried that car yesterday, could easily achieve 32s on OB with such a dirty run.. Taps and crashes everywhere... Should've got 30 if I didn't try wall-tapping...

Anyways, GC8 is MAGICAL.. My 1st try on OB using this car gave me 34'567 for my 1st CP LAWL..

I'm going to TA on OB again.. Might be this weekend.. Got no more money for playing MT for this week.. Should wait for the next payroll XD~

@Death_B2KSJ

Nope. That wasn't an EVOLUTION IX. That was an EVOLUTION VIII...
I don't really like how the EVOLUTION IX handles.. EVOLUTION VIII is better IMO.
