you do realise that 780 holds optimum speed and cornering in mt3dx?

unless you're talking about the old mt3

@z31: what sometimes? ALL the time la. XD

where is your proof in that?

If 780hp is ideal in DX...then why are all the 31's for Hakone TA done with 760hp?

cos they're pro

wait i guess. only 2 people reached 31 so far. i'm guessing that people will start using 780 soon enough. *shrugs* this is my own experience. i believe 760 and 780 are the best. maybe i worded it wrongly. did,'t mean to say that 760 was absurd.

but i didn't go as far as saying that 760 is absurd like how people went "780?! wtf?"

But in your previous post you never said anything about 760 being the "best". You just mindlessly "assumed" that 780 is the optimum HP for the track without providing any clear evidence to back up your point. ermm2.gif

I'm no pro in hakone, I'm just basing off the IR for people that hit a high '31 that 760 would be the best HP for the track. I apologize if I interpreted your post wrongly.

Peace

@ blitz:

who did you see do 780?

Some chick in Rockwell (named "EU"). Someone told me she was part of Team CROW...

In any case, I was overwhelmed that her setting was so slippery and stuff, that she can handle it with ease...........while I can't even go past 760 HP/B and even then, I was like all sweating all over just trying to keep up with her.

760 HP/B is not as easy as it seems (seeing as I sticked with 740 HP/B during MT3 for this map) and I'm only starting to fully adjust to it..............but using780 HP/D for Hakone is just unbelievably shocking in my book. I was pretty much overwhelmed and surprised when she used that speed setting.........

QUOTE

Hmm......I don't get it personally.

I don't know about you or anyone else but IMHO, you don't need too much speed in Hakone (because it's all turns and stuff). In fact, the number of turns as well as the nature of the turns are more dense and intense than the stuff you see in Nagoya, Osaka or even any part of the Shutoku Expressway. Unlike those areas, max speed is not what counts in Hakone.

Well, in the end, take it as you may (or if anyone else has a different say about it).....but for me, I still believe that for DX, 760 HP/B is the maximum recommended setting for Hakone and anything above is just overkill IMHO.

Two cents smile.gif

i hope by saying that you are not simply implying that the cornering speed does not matter

yea i was just about to say the same thing.

the reason why i think 780 is a little better is because it's not so grippy. you do need your car to slide at some corners. too uch grip and you'll only eat the outside wall head on.

but yea, everyone to their own preference

that's cos they don't mention the highway name.

look up "ashinoko no skyline" on google maps, and you'll find it.
if not, go look up "tougendai, hakonemachi, kanagawa-ku" in that order

use street view.

....or click here if ur lazy XD

map

note the hakone map in mt has been EXTENSIVELY modified for gaming purposes, and most turns are tighter than usual, and not in proportion.

u can thank me cos i've been there with the b*tch below =P

and no, u can't race there cos its real steep as shit.
