QUOTE (marbleberry @ Today at 1:24 AM) | For EVOLUTION VIII, i've tried several settings to go quite good on Hakone..
Stock Bodykit ENKEI WRC TARMAC EVO FORGED... or whatever the name is (the white one) Rims Stock Wings Stock Mirrors Carbon-Fiber Hood (Original)
Try using 760HP/D with this setting.. I got 2'30"xxx using this setting. It doesn't slide too much, compared to the "all-stock" settings.
For a SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II [BNR34]...
Aero Set C ENKEI RPF-1 Rims No Wings Aero Mirrors Carbon-Fiber Hood (Ducted)
For a FAIRLADY Z Version S [Z33]
Aero Set C ENKEI RPF-1 Rims Bodykit Wing Aero Mirrors Carbon-Fiber Hood (Ducted)
For a SKYLINE GT-R [BNR32]
All-stock setting..
Will update again after finishing the "MR2 Dressup Project" =_=" I hate using RAYS Rims on MR2s.. It slides like sh*t.. T_T
Will be starting the FD3S project soon.. FD3S + Hakone = GG |
Enkei Forged were the god wheels of MT2, but they're kinda slow in MT3...
For E8, definitely go with Advan 3spokes instead, they provide the driftyness and the monstrous acceleration that's needed to set a fast TA record. Enkei Forged in MT3 seems to be grip and be stable, but acceleration totally sucks.
From what I've experienced, if you want to set fast TA records on Hakone...don't use a GT wing. A GT wing will provide unecesarry grip, causing your car to understeer in a turn, in result causing you to run a worse line. You can still set fast times with a GT wing, but it's just easier to use a stock wing or to go wingless.
I only played Hakone IB TA yesterday because I haven't played it in such a long time...managed a crappy 28'8 with stock dressup FD @ 740hp...ac101 was like...sigh, you're not even going to break into 28, since you crashed like 5 or 6 times...

Advan 3spokes as in the one that was famous for the R32 in MT2? Or did you mean the RCII?
