Dang, I started playing this game since early MT2 days and I have never raced this course outside of Story Mode and random max hp battles but I'm starting to race this course more as seeing there are always the few racers that only take me to this course. My TA is a whooping 4'45" right now XD so slow. Would it matter if there are any pointers about the course? I've been watching Taro's Hakone vid but the whole, throttle control, line, and whatever cannot seem to get.

u want to get better at this course?? just take it slow at 720hp(laughs to myself) and work ur way up or just start playing at 760 and get to memorize the course..

or u can do wat i was told and have tried.. run 800hp until u get very clean runs, meaning the occasional walltap in certain places is ok and try not to lose to much speed

the choice is up to u but hey practice makes progress man all u can do is TA, watch other ppl and ask around for help, but u will get it sooner or later grin2.gif

720 XD I have memorized most of the course but I just cannot take the turns right, especially all of the red turns, try with/without wall tapping I always have those hard slides that kill my car, can never fine that happy medium in those turns, but I'm sure that is where practice and asking for help comes in handy. Are there a lot of turns that you guys turn the wheel fully? Cuz I only do it on a few turns or try to at least.

reds i usual go for 3/4-full wheel turn depending at wat angle i came to the corner to begin with lulz ( i f@kc up a lot at the reds)

and usually i brake the reds instead of walltapping cause walltap are not my strong point for this course

I'm using the Evo 9. I would still be using my R34 if I didn't lose it but the 9 is better anyways XD

ok well then i would say go stock everything for setup

before u start adding parts u should always go stock for a course and then add once u kno how it will perform, but thro a staight wing on it just because for more angle when turning lulz

hey I did this before in mt2... grin2.gif

@Waddles:

Practice makes perfect.

If you can, you can try clearing the reds w/o braking. I did it before. but I prefer braking a bit.

go stock for a start, then go experimenting later. grin2.gif

Yeah like, I never knew what parts did what and I could never find the feel for the parts either so idk what to do about that. I know what I'm supposed to be looking for but I guess I don't play the game enough to actually notice or "feel" it. I just put on the 3d wing, aero kit a, and TCII rims and I use it for all the courses. Plus my dress up is not close to max either, haha.

wtf?? are you on crack? with 800 you basically crash every corner. to all people who are new in hakone, don't take this guy's word...-__-. never go lower than 740HP on hakone, and never higher than 760.

740=battles
760=time attack

Lol, whenever me and my friends raced on Hakone back in MT2 days we always raced at max hp. I only run Hakone on WR settings when I'm trying to learn the course, so I will most likely not use any other settings for now.

u suk man if u cant run 800 and get clean runs u are garbo, im sorry to say this but sir " IF U XANT RUN 800hp ON THIS COURSE UR GARBO"

i was told to run 800hp for practice on how toget clean run and knowing how u can take the turns. this is not for WR running, and besides 800 is drift anything in the dangerous hp area would be a crash on every corner but even that isnt possible to hit every corner lmao

but hey if im on crack then im on crack. learn not to flame unless u try the methods man thats all i have to say. thumbsup.gif
