I'm a MX-5 driver. As you can see on my sig (it also has the same dress ups Aero C, TCII, Aero Mirrors and that's it. I hate ricing my car like other people do. For example, my idea of putting flames on a car is like smearing poo to your car.)
I always TA but never really get better. I rarely do new personal best times. My best was 4'44''03x and a dude that came out of nowhere wanted to try my car and he just blitzed my PB and did a 4'38''xxx. I was like WTF!!!???? How long do you think it's going to take me to do that time? My weakness on Hakone is the zigzags at the beginning and the end of the course. I always drop below 90 Km/h.

lol i love the zig zags, the best way to catch up to my opponent. If you know how to set up in your turns properly, you will own in the zig zags

Well, its called practising till you're happy... It may involve a lot of money and time, but for me... i improve when i don't play...

well if you can hit 2"29-2"30 on IB and 2"30-2"32 OB you should be able to hit 4"37-38

Since somebody wanted to know how sucky I am in Hakone. I tried doing TA with the use of my R34 in MT3 with 760 HP and using the official car. And I got this:

IB: 2"44'xxx
OB: 2"50'xxx

As you can see very well. I suck at this course XD

You have a perfectly good FD...why TA with R34?

I mean, sure, there is that "You-practice-with-shitty-car-you-get-better-if-you-use-better-car" thing,. but... uhh...

R34 is way too different compared to the FD. Hahaha

Reason? I'm far away from a DX machine. I only got to play mt3 because that's what was available in the arcade and it was cheap. And my gf was practicing with her R so I borrowed it to take it for a spin XD and this is what I got XD

Well..as a note...if you are using an R34.

Avoid Hakone like it's the plague.

Agreed

Unless of course you have skills to manage the heavy weight sans poorer cornering...........or if you have RGII wheels/rims.

Other than that well, good luck biggrin.gif

Anything is possible, but just a matter of, is it easy or hard to complete the task.

well actually R34 is better on hakone then a lot of cars, if you check MT3 records R34 is slightly slower then R32 .... on IB 26"9xx as oppose to R32 26"6xx, but obviously FD would be better >.>
