That is more of the matter of the driver instead of the car. If the same person drives the R32, they can probably get a better time, that is partially why some people prefer it over the R34, it's more nimble.
And well, I am not saying the R34 is the worst car in Hakone, but with it's gigantic ass and weight, you have to be really good to be able to drive it well there. Personally, I can drive at Hakone better with my R than my Evo, but then again, I suck there with both. Hahaha

Actually, the Evo8 seems to be better at Hakone now more than a lot of cars. The RX8 would come second being the RX8.
