Happy New Year everyone! Fireworks in the city were better than the previous years! Watch the videos! Today I learned that most residents of legal Indonesian immigrants living in Japan reside in the Kanto region. Kanto consists of Minami-Kanto (South Kanto, consisting of Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba), and Kita-Kanto (North Kanto, with Saitama, Ibaraki, Gunma, and Tochigi). While Tokyo has more residents, Saitama and Ibaraki places 2nd and 3rd in population rankings of Indonesian immigrants living in Japan, much more than Kanagawa and Chiba. I placed the percentage numbers per region under the spoiler, the Kanto population is kept because Initial D. Pop. No. per district in Kanto: 2,175 - Tokyo 1,236 - Saitama 1,204 - Ibaraki 1,002 - Kanagawa 845 - Chiba 519 - Gunma 244 - Tochigi Remainder - 30 to 500 Total = 25,620 Kita-Kanto has enough Indonesian residents to consider the northern region the "residential" home of the country, to compare it to our regions like Tangerang, like the notable Korean immigrants living in Karawaci, or German immigrants in BSD. I should do this with more countries, but went with Japan first. Also the Japanese immigrant generation in Indonesia since the 19th century was called "Nikkei Indonesian". /kabur
