Hello everyone.

I think many people have seen it already, but WMMT4 thread became so big that people are having hard time on finding their answers that's been posted up already...

So yeah, including myself I believe there are few people who already have played WMMT4 in this forum who can answer questions you guys have,

While I can't say that I know absolutely everything 100% about the game, but I will do my best to answer questions that members have regarding WMMT4. =)

I will start with answering popular questions;

Q: What kind of cards can I transfer to WMMT4?

A: You can transfer 3DX+ cards ONLY (Excluding used/present cards)

Q: Do you lose your level when you transfer you data from 3DX+ due to 10-outrun mode got cut out in WMMT4?

A: No, your level stays same and no complaints have ever been reported among players regarding on it.

Q: How many stages are in WMMT4 story mode?

A: There are 60 Stages in WMMT4 for now (Can be increased with an update)

Q: I've already full-tuned my cars in 3DX+, what happens when I transfer it?

A: Here's how it works when you transfer your data to WMMT4;

825DG -> 815DG w/ start from Stage 115 (2nd cycle of stage 55)

820DG -> 815DG w/ start from Stage 55

815/810/800DG -> 800DG w/ start from Stage 51

Anything lower, you will start from same stage number where you have left off.

Q: What if we want to try make a new car from scratch? Do we need to go to Wangan Terminal and purchase the car model before going to MT4 cabinet?

A: You can purchase a new car along with Banapassport from either the cabinet or Wangan Terminal.

Q: Do we have to pay/insert coins in order to transfer our card on the terminal? Are changing the dress-up in the terminal also requires credits?

A: You can use Wangan Terminal for free many time as you want as long as there is no line of people waiting to use Wangan Terminal

Q: Is there a limit as to how many cars the card can have? Or we can create/transfer, say... 10 cars and have all of them on one card?

A: You can store up to 100 cars in a single Banapassport card.

Q: What kind of award do I get if I beat the story mode without losing?

A: If you complete the story once without losing, regardless of Newly started from scratch or transferred the data from 3DX+, you will get YELLOW RACING METER.

After unlocking Yellow Racing Meter, if you complete the story one more time without losing, you will get RED RACING METER.

Keep in mind that in order to get Red Racing Meter, you must unlock Yellow Racing Meter first.
There are no other ways to get it.

Q: I've started tuning my car from scratch, how do I unlock other BGMs?

A: You will unlock BGMs by completing story mode regardless of with/without losing.

Beating story mode for 1st time = WMMT 3DX+ BGMs

Beating story mode for 2nd time = 10-Outrun BGMs

Beating story mode for 3rd time = WMMT 1 & 2 BGMs

Beating story mode for 4th time = WMR BGMs

For players who are transferring a data from 3DX+, if you have unlocked all BGMs already from 3DX+, you will have all BGMs back after you finish the final stage.

Q; Does the dress-up level reset to 63 after transfering?

A: Your dress-up level will stay same; however, even if you are transferring a car with dress-up level that is higher than level 63, you will be starting with unlocking Aero-D no matter what.

For example, if you transfer dress-up level 100 car from 3DX+ and play the ghost mode in WMMT4, when you reach level 101, you will be getting Aero-D.

Q: Can I change the name of my car?

A: Yes, but only for transferred cars, and you only get a single chance for each car.

When you transfer your 3DX+ car to 4, you will be asked to change the name of your car. Keep in mind that this will be the ONLY TIME that you will be able to change the name of your car.

Q: Will I keep the title from 3DX+ when I transfer it to 4?

A: Unfortunately, no.
All titles will change back to basic title; Wangan Beginner.

Q: How does Present Card system work in WMMT4?

A:
Just like previous series, you obtain "Present Card" file by playing game for 60 times.
You receive it along with inspection color.

Here's how present card system works in WMMT4;

1. Go to Wangan Terminal.

2. Touch the screen and scan your Banapassport.

3. On main menu, select "present give away"

4. You and your friend (person who will be receiving present card) need click on bunch of "agreement" buttons.

5. Now, after all that, when Wangan Terminal asks your friend to scan his/her Banapassport, go ahead and scan it.

6. Done.

Q: With MAX HP being 830HP in WMMT4, how does HP setting works?

A:
From 800HP;

+ 1 extra bar = 815HP


+ 2 extra bar = 830HP


810, 820, 825HP aren't available in WMMT4

Q:How many wins does it take to level up for ghost battles?

If you race against same level ghost;

Lv 1 ~ 10 = One Win

Lv 11 ~ 20 = Two Wins

Lv 21 ~ 30 = Three Wins

Lv 31 ~ 83 = Four Wins

After Level 83 = Five Wins (Custom Color Change)

Now, if you transfer a car with Dress-up Level 83+, it will take five wins to unlock parts. (Starting from Aero D set)

Q: I have unlocked all dress-up parts. What do I get when I level up in ghost battle mode?

A: You will be able to change the color of your car with inspection colors you've unlocked.
However, You do not get new inspection colors by leveling up for only way to unlock new inspection colors are still by playing the game 60 times.

Q: If I choose to retire while playing the story mode, do I still keep straight win records?

A: Yes. You will still be keeping your straight win records.

Q: Can I change the color of my car by using Wangan Terminal?

A: You can not change the color of car by using Wangan Terminal.

Only times you can change color of car are;
- When you reach next Dress-up level after unlocking all available dress-up parts
- When you receive new inspection color (after 60 games)

Keep in mind that only colors those you can use are, your car's original body color that you have started with and inspection colors that you have unlocked.

Also, inspection colors and color changes aren't available to Nissan GT-R and GT-R Spec V.

can you give us more info about MT4's card transfer and the internet connection stuff?? because it's really conusing (and frustating) me

(If you already have Banapassport, skip to 4.)

1) Touch the screen of Wangan Terminal to activate the kiosk

2) Choose the option "buy" Banapassport.

3) Banapassport card will drop out.

4) Touch the screen again

5) Touch your Banapassport card on card reader.

6) Choose "transfer 3DX+ card" option

7) When it asks to put in the 3DX+ card, do it (There is a slot where you insert 3DX+ card at the front of Kiosk.)

8) If nothing goes wrong, it will ask you to change the name.

9) Change the name, then finish.

10) Done, now go to WMMT 4 Cabinet and play the game.

Internet is used for 4 major things.

1) To update the game.

2) Online Ghost Battle.

3) TA record sharing.

4) Save your game progress.

Wangan Terminal is free.

Answer 2:
No credits are needed. You can use it many time as you want as long as there is no line of people. XD

I can't remember it clearly, but there is a time limit, 150 sec I think.

I forgot to add (really, am sorry xD ):

They said the AE86 will be included in this game, any ideas when it'll show up? Adding to that I'd understand the inclusion of Toyota's 2000GT but the 86 seems so out of place, it's like they put it in there just to slap Inital D's face with it =))

this brings up a question in my mind (actually, just confirming something)

with the ability to change your dress up at will using the terminal, then the point of ghost battle is just to unlock dress up parts, and once that's done, there will be virtually no point in doing ghost battle other than changing your car color?

No one except BandaiNamco knows when AE86 will be available for players to use.

However, as it was shown on promotion video, it will be available for sure in the future with an update.

Also, AE86 makes an special appearance in story mode... XD

For now yes.

After a player unlock all dress-up parts, only thing that player can do after level up is changing a body color of his/her car.

However, more dress-up parts will be available in the future by an update.

so, the 'green bar' you get after completing a ghost race is now just to change color?

also, with us able to change color through ghost mode, what happens to color changing after 60 gameplay? is it still available or you will only be able to obtain the color and not change it at that exact time.

Yes, just to change color.

Just like previous series, you unlock inspection colors by playing 60 times.
Each car now has 20 inspection colors (10 old colors + 10 new colors).
Of course, you can change the color of car every time when you get the new color too.

GT-R and GT-R SpecV still doesn't get inspection color btw.

No. You do not need to renew card anymore.

You will be using Banapassport forever. (Unless you want to use different card design)

A flat 2.4k (at the very least) to FT cars now! Great no? xD Though I do find it sad that I'll be losing the Gatekeeper title I got mine when I hit 16 wins

How's the difficulty of the story mode in MT4 in general?

I ask that because based on what I've heard and read in the other thread, it's as hard as MT2 version B now. Is that true?

Also, it seems Fukuoka is not (yet) available in MT4?
