How many wins does it take to level up for ghost battles?

How were people doing direct video recordings for the previous games? Is there some sort of video output port on the cabinet?

You pretty much have to take a VGA cable from the machine and plug it into a DVD recorder, then split the RCA audio cables (Red and White cables like the ones you use on PS2) then plug that into a DVD recorder as well then just record it.

The VGA cable is connected inside the machine and locked, you have to ask a game attendant to open it up for you. WHICH I HIGHLY doubt they would do for you.

I have a question...
If you say, "You can transfer the BGM too from 3DX+ after you get ALL..."
So, if i already cleared 100 chapter story in 3DX+ WITH LOSE & only get MT1&2 BGM, not with W.M.R BGM...
Can i still bring my beloved BGM MT1&2 without W.M.R BGM?
(If truly possible, my car can make me enjoy Stream of Tears once again in MT4 while i'm on my way to 830HP!)

If you get WM R soundtrack, you play 100 story again WITHOUT LOSE and you get Special Tachometer if you cleared all story Without Loses.

No, i mean, if my 3DX+ get lost but cleared the story, the MT1&2 BGM still get but WM-R BGM will not get, right? So, can i still bring & use MT1&2 BGM that i import from my cleared lost 3DX+ and use the BGM instantly even when i'm progressing to 830HP?

I suggest finding out by challenging a higher class or doing Revenge battle. 1.5x bar per win, and it's duplicated across any linked machine(s).

No I mean with the addition of more dress up levels, is it still 5 wins per level, or 4 wins per level if you win someone of higher rank?

Or I guess the better way to phrase this question is: how many wins does it take to level up from DU levels 64-83 (or whatever the current level is)

Assuming they don't change the existing DU Leveling format from MT3DX+ for Levels 1-63, 4 (with 1.5x) sounds reasonable. I mean, you're already stretching it at 5 wins/level for higher-end dress-ups w/o the 1.5x bonus.

W/o the bonus, I think they might squeeze it in to 6, but here's hoping it'll cap at 5. Assuming we even get it, I'll update this...or someone will, anyhow.

I'm sure the kind Japanese people (who are already enjoying this game, damn you!) could shed some light into this question?

Yes, you will have WMMT 1&2 BGM from the start if you already have unlocked it from 3DX+.

If you race against same level ghost;

Lv 1 ~ 10 = One Win

Lv 11 ~ 20 = Two Wins

Lv 21 ~ 30 = Three Wins

Lv 31 ~ 83 = Four Wins

After Level 83 = Five Wins (Custom Color Change)

Now, if you transfer a car with Dress-up Level 83+, it will take five wins to unlock parts. (Starting from Aero D set)

You left out the "higher-level and/or revenge" method. It'll save 'em a game per bar.
Get HP to just below the next HP then challenge the next HP class (i.e, challenge 700 w/ 680 HP). It acts like a revenge, in which either case, you get a bonus of x1.5 per race.

Against [Higher HP Class] or Revenge:
Lv.1-10: 1 win (confirmed)
Lv.11-30: 2 wins (75% sure)
Lv.31-??: 3 wins (confirmed)
Lv.??-63(+): 4 wins (confirmed)

Does the outrun stars and ghost coins ranking still exist in mt4 machine?

Thanks P.K.! I guess it isn't a waste to fully dress up my cars now since it's the same amount of wins anyway before transfering.

And can you clarify what you mean by "custom color change"?

after unlocking all the parts, you can change the color of your car.

most likely an Event Mode because I don't see any choice in accepting/refusing challenge. Maybe Namco put that to make competitions longer lol

but this is just my assumptions since I don't play MT4 xD
