QUOTE (+-!mma_N00B- @ +8 minutes, 51 seconds ago) | Not when I'm tired of a lot of things. Especially in here. |
I guess I can see where you're coming from, you've been here for a long time now, after all. But still, I don't think I agree with how you reacted to just a couple lines referenced from the show. No, I'm not being an offended brony whining about how you don't like it. I've been around the MLP community for quite some time now and I can tell you that bronies range from people who just love the show for what it is, an entertaining cartoon, and people who love the show beyond that, being obsessed with it as you put it. Don't burst their bubble, man, we're MT players respecting each others' interests, not people of differing fandoms throwing shoes at one another. Some things rile me up even at a single glance, mate. I know I'm being a bit of an asshole but don't mind me because I don't care much. Again, I'm just tired of various things, most of them not related to MLP in any way so if you want me to be cool again, give me some time.
I'll stop here so that I won't need to go off-topic again.

Just an old man's 2 cents. Not taking any sides here. And sorry for the long wall of text and late post. I just had to let this out.
@gunma if kennz has an issue with you, settle it via PM not out in the open here in the forum. and as for your shameless plugs, I don't mind that but your car reviews are blurring the lines between doing a review, producing product advertisements and looking a know it all... And several old guards (members of the "old generation") in the Manila thread aren' too fond of it in case you haven't noticed.
Why? because of the aforementioned reason that the reviews that you're currently doing (or how you do them) are making you look like a know-it-all and when they (old guards) race you in person, hoping for a good race based on the image that you projected here on WME, and are promptly disappointed when you don't put up a good race that they were hoping for or looking forward to.
To be fair to you though, you're quite passionate with your craft and I respect that. but echoing immanoob, there's a proper place for a product advertisement and the likes.
Oh, and to drive a point, a reality check if you may, many players, especially the veterans, actually don't give crap about how a car with a specific setup based on your fanfics performs in the game. whether setups have an effect or not on a car's performance, it all boils down to a player/ driver's skills. and people will definitely change the setups of the cars that they bought from you later on. People buy from you, some because they are fans of your series (which is an admirable effort on your part) and some buy because they are kids who are "brainwashed" (for the lack of a better term) by your advertising. But many players just buy cars/ cards because they simply need a car that is full-tuned, has a certain number of stars/ rank and has their own name (or name of their choice) reflected on it for whatever reason period.
And you might want to review how you treat people. based on whatever history you and kennz have, I won't be surprised if you're losing respect from people around here in the forums, especially the old guards = people who accepted or at least tolerated you or ignored your antics when you started out here.
@kennz buddy you have valid points but no need to get too sensitive. if you have beef with gunma, limit it to just between you and him and not involve other people... and like I also said to gunma, you don't have to bring it up in public and act like a victim all the time...

QUOTE (grimsolace @ 6 minutes, 24 seconds ago) | My bad on being victim-bashy-attention-whorey, its my natural nature like that. It's somehow linked to my OCD mentall illness like my psychologist said but im not gonna lie like that.
I'm just naturally that way...
He's partly at fault while most of it IS my fauly, I have no fear of accepting that reality.
So In all, I'm sorry WME, and Gunma. But now i'll just move the f((( on and not give a s*** ... and try my best not to do so.
Thanks for the wake up call on and for me too RB33. =S |
No worries buddy. whether you have a mental illness or not, for as long as you can think for yourself or move independently, you shouldn't be making excuses that "I'm like this, so therefore yadda yadda yadda."
I'm no doctor. I don't have a medical degree. But frankly speaking, I think your mental illness is partly contributed to by you making excuses for yourself. Time to stand up and leave all those excuses behind buddy.

QUOTE (Kenji @ 6 minutes, 21 seconds ago) | Planned to make another banapass today, and chuck in a Subaru.
BUT
was on my way to the arcade but decided to drop by friend's place to grab something. Friend treats me lunch then I left his house, not heading towards the arcade but heading home instead.
somehow, my arcade urge has declined rapidly, not as strong as back in MT3 days. Last time, if I didn't go to the arcade, I will feel very uneasy. Now though, everything is the opposite. ~.~ |
as long you don't feel any weird withdrawal symptoms.... as for me either it's impulse or addiction to WMMT whenever I went to a mall i guess that is the feeling of content... or you did something very good to subside the urges (just my 2 centavos sir) =/

A 2 hour MT4 session with my friend totally wasted a lot of energy on me today. Got the Skura R34 to 830 (coz I felt like it; I originally want to keep her in 815 but meh). And updated her Hakone ghost. Sorry Antares if I used you as Atom of Real Steel (a sparring bot) in Hakone; your Hakone was fairly decent and makes a good gauge to see if I'm improving or not. Sadly, every run gets worse (time and distance wise). I got the gap to at most 50m but with a horrid time of 2"45 on the outbound; then better times near 2"33-2"34 but with a 20m gap only. So apologies again on spamming the rematch on it again and again. XD Then I checked on the terminal only to see 4 more challenges; all were victories. --------- I helped my friend get his Z34 from stage 23 - 37. Right now, it's still undefeated and he kinda got me freaked when he had those near defeats. Average, he won by 10m, lowest so far. If making a car from scratch, boost doesn't seem scary. I just noticed that the more you stay behind the leading AI, the higher your boost level is, giving you the edge. And the mercy rule hits on the last km on most areas while those with retiring parts lose it more. Stage 34 seems to be a test of how well you ninja your way past Motoki & Teizuka - they'll literally box you in like they said they would. He fished some GUEST cars as well (he was challenged again and again) and got fished by a kid (who was on stage 43 while he's on stage 25). Good day; then had McDonalds and now at home ready to pass out. ------------ P.S. Vash, your R35 seems well and good. It's quite challenging though I had mine on 815/DG. Good on the early game though I won by 15m; not much to brag but your R35-V's lining is pretty smooth. (I'm still scarred by Rotary Tuner's awesome Hanshin run though; I don't think I could beat it past 10m) This post has been edited by Gunma's 34 on Jan 2 2013, 04:09 AM
