Speaking of this maxi.net stuff, i hope paying the subscription fee comes in the form of putting tokens/timezone card swipes in the arcade machine instead of something convoluted like a paypal account

I see some 5DX battle videos and apparently it is now no longer possible to branch out to go to Shibuya/Shinjuku and Ikebukuro any more. They're now separate tracks on the VS battle screen and not a single standalone area separate from the rest of the Metro Tokyo area. I don't know if this effect is also on the Fukutoshin TA and on Ghost Battle but this is now the case. Sadly Shibuya/Shinjuku is now limited to counter-clockwise direction only.

i think the issue with this is nobody in here playing the japan version of MT so we can't just 'make a thread and update pictures' if we have nothing to use.

maybe have a look on the atwiki page (with google translate) and they might have updated it.

Actually I am in the process of cleaning up my DU thread since many of the image links has gone 404...but WRX has a point there

Still I've saved the images into my PC...I believe we'll get those DU parts eventually...will be adding them to the thread once we officially get those bloody goodies we should have long gotten in the first place

Otherwise if it's still unavailable for us we're gonna inform the SG players to prepare to make and burn an effigy of Maeda

How does the G system work? I remember seeing it in some videos but I have no idea how it works.

How does the G system works?
Very much like how the DU bar is being boosted (assume car is @ Level 8 = 815HP max):

Win against ghost opponent of same level - 1000G = 1x increase for DU bar
Win against ghost opponent of higher level - 1500G = 1.5x increase for DU bar
Win against ghost opponent of lower level/Lose against ghost opponent - 500G = 0.5x increase for DU bar
Occasional double bonus ghost battle in Japan Challenge - 2000G = 2x increase in DU bar

Advantages of G system is specific wanted DU parts can be bought straight away after obtaining the required amount to purchase it...unlike current DU bar system which gives DU parts randomly...requiring extra races to be done to get a specific wanted DU part

G system not only covers for a single car...it covers for ALL cars created in a single Banapass...as shown in diagram below:

Silver car displayed near 1000G is Mitsubishi Galant VR-4
Red car displayed near 3000G is Nissan Skyline R30
Both cars are exclusive to JPN version only as of now

They have ZR1 Taxi ver. And the Z4 Safety Car with FUNCTIONING SIREN LIGHT.

All in all open the DU parts for 86 and BRZ first. Seeing the image of that Duct Carbon Bonnet 3 for BRZ and Aero Hs make me want the system to be upgraded than that of new car.

Probably wants the Z4 safety car spec. Dat flash lights.....

Maxi G system? I wonder, how do they price the dressups (example:rim a: 1000G)? And, will our du be reset?

Du earned from MT5 are not reseted, if I recall correctly from previous pages.

Dunno about pricing system though, maybe it's based on shop grade?

Put it this way:

The old Maxi G system

The price are predetermined for each DU parts and will open to you if you reach that shop grade. You will upgrade the shop grade if you have enough amount of Gs in your card.

so that was why the Japan guys can get Aero H at the first days of that July upgrade of MT5.

By normal means, you had to go to Grade 18 from the start.

So a poosible strategy could be: if you have, say 70 cars in your card. Play each of your car a few games to boost the wallet, you can go to Grade 20 so easily.

The revamped Shop Grade System in late MT5

The BN revamped it and made the max shop grade to 52 (55 in 5DX) by introducing the similar green bar in Ghost Battle (the shop grade bar). By levelling up the bar, you will have 3 or 4 designated parts given to you. One as a free gift (0G in price). You can choose from the screen which part you want.

Make a simple example here.

If you gain shop grade 1 under the new system, you will see a screen with the following options:

aero set A ( as a gift of gaining SG1)
TE37 & Carbon bonnet 1 (of coz, buy them with Gs if you want to)

The advantage of this system will be: Players cannot obtain new parts so easily (in the old system, if you are in shop grade 1, and have 18000G, you can instantly choose Aero set G if you want to!!)

Not much diff anyway since both are airships just that i will be maining a 7gear non jdm this time round...

@simonsiu: If, for example, we already have aero set a, TE37, and carbon bonnet carried over, do we jump to shop grade two instantly?

Once you transfer to 5DX.....it should be by default in shop grade 1

To correct my mistake. You will actually obtain the free gift Aero Set A, TE37 and watanabe eight spoke. If you have obtained thwm beforehand, you may only gain access to the other parts available in shop grade 1 (say stickers)

And Carbon bonnet is the free gift for grade 2. So you may only gain access to parts that you don’t obtain at the moment. So under the revamped G system. You may buy them with Gs at once or leave it for your later decisions through using the terminal.

Not sure if my original explanation above was clear enough or not. Sorry if not so. Something I may have miss out, and yea just feel free to discuss, and I can check that out too.

But yea, if you are so adapted to the game logic. It should be of no significant difference between cars imo
