anyone like to check if james game have mt5 or getting mt5?

I have no idea when i'll ever visit the Inland Empire again. I haven't been to James Games since 2011-12 otherwise i'd love to check and speak with the guy in charge. That arcade is a nice little spot.

Please excuse the newbie question but how many dress up levels is there in MT5? I finished the first 60 story loop and plan to put the next 3 loops on hold until after I finish dress up. I'm barely on level 12 and I forgot how much a pain in the ass dress up is. Literally.

Max Dress up level in MT5 is Lv 105.

you don't need to finish it just get the parts you feel like getting.

And after being FDU, you can change your car color by filling up your DU bar.

At Round1 in Georgia, about 5 people full tuned cars and about another 7 players still working on theirs. Hopefully more develop as time goes on (hasn't been a month since we got it).

Well I did choose an S30 and basically an S30 looks good with Aero A and RAYS TE37. I wanna get the Aero mirrors next (not sure what level that was) and some day get the Nismo sticker since it's gonna be an eternal before I can get metallic gun gray for the body color. The neon lights are also neat.

I don't know how every single person is doing since I haven't had a chance to hit the arcades with a lot of foot traffic. Sherman Oaks Castle Park, which is the closest to me, is dead. It's only for tuning and DU and the price went up per game recently.

my advice is don't bother much on dressup, just do what you can and don't rush unless you have a surefire plan of doing it (unless you're asking for wallet immolation...)

otherwise you have to play Japan Challenge and find those default cars and these are the easiest to win and don't try to choose randomly there because some ghost data are trollolololol

default ones are B1-740hp with DU until carbon hood with some early DU stickers... evade the tribal to tribal2 stickers or above... with that you can dash through your DU smoothly



lastly... I had the feeling that Namco is doing the same scenario on pricing on WMMT.... we started at 1 to 1.75 USD (current/today's exchange rate) and eventually lowered to .50 USD on WMMT5 INT version... if the community done right until WMMT5DX [USA] comes out it should be lowered until 50% from the price you started

or they should introduced the low cost cabinets enough to price 1 USD a game (that's the next reason why Namco lowered drastically the price in INT server)

In china my arcade doesnt have a lot of these ppl as most of us are battlers (some do have fdu cars)

Its takes about like 2 days or less and ft with discard takes about one afternoons (if u hog the machines)

Thanks for the info. This is the second time I hear I should try the Japan Challenge for DU. I never knew what it was and I wasn't going to bother with it until very last but now i'm interested. As Ed said, maybe I should just dress it up to my liking.

Just the thought that you want a car 100% complete asap is what bothers my conscience.

nothing wrong with getting FDU though... it's something to aim for at least when you're not having VS battles with anyone

actually there's no need to aim for FDU, it'll just come if you use ghost battle as a form of practice

As sir Vash and sir Immanoob said, you don't need to aim for FDU. Just get the parts you want.

But it's all up to you if you want to FDU your car or not.

Wasn't there some quote from one of the recent conventions Namco attended that they said something about only 100 sets of MT5 cabinets were available for the NA and that the next edition NA would see is MT6.

That wouldn't make sense. Why skip MT5DX and MT5DX+?

I mean we did skip 4 and got a different release of 5. Many things have been done differently for many reasons.

Cuz dx and dx+ are pretty much just updates lol, no REAL major change in it

Well..........I just hope that the hardware upgrades don't stop like it did around 2011 with MT3DX+. I want to believe that Bandai Namco is going to do what Sega does with the ID franchise. I have never been a fan of ID but I believe the last time I saw a newly version of ID was ID 7 or ID AAA or something along those lines at Round 1 a few years ago. I want to believe that there will be up to MT8 or MT9, etc. in the future. MT5 in NA is a restart to an arcade gaming life I have put on hold for years now and it's slowly coming back. Unfortunately I just can't find the time I want to catch up to everyone else in NA whose completed not 1 but at least 2 cars on MT5.
